Are you interested in becoming a yoga teacher or deepening your own yoga practice?  Do you have questions regarding the program and what it’s all about?  If so, please join us at our open house where you can meet the teachers, ask questions and learn more about our curriculum and learning materials. At this event, PYC Teacher Training Instructors will answer questions regarding the program and will provide information on the foundation of the training and core subjects included in the training.

Certification

 The Pranava Yoga Center Teacher Training School is a Registered School with YogaAlliance.

Upon completion of the program students will receive a Certificate of Completion

and can apply for registration with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level (RYT 200).

2 Weekends and 2 Wednesdays per month

12 Hours on Saturday (approx. 8am-8pm approx.)
6 Hours on Sunday (approx. 8am-6pm approx.)

3.5-4 Hours on Wednesday (approx.5pm-9pm approx.)
22.5 - 24.5 Hrs Per Week (approx.)

Prerequisites for PYC Teacher Traininig

 

1) Book Report
Your report should be submitted along with the application and must be:


(We will give a list of books in the application package)

          • Length: 500 words minimum, 1000 maximum
          • Print on plain 8.5 x 11 paper
          • Include your name on the top of each page
          • Please retain a copy for your own records

 

2) Teacher Training Catalog

Approved and Regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education,

3) Enrollment Agreement Form

Approved and Regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education,

4) Student Acknowledgment Form
This form is a requirement of Pranava Yoga Center and the Yoga Alliance certification. It calls your attention to

important ethical considerations in the teaching of yoga and asks for your pledge to act correctly and responsibly.

This form gives your personal medical needs and history for the confidential use of the staff and presenters. (application)

Tuition

 

  • Early Registration:    $2200

   If we receive your application on or before March 28, 2011.

 

  • Regular Registration: $2400

   If we receive your application after March 28, 2011.


Payment                                             

$500 Deposit due with application.

 

Note:  All applications and remaining tuition balance are due before WEEK 5 (July 23, 2011) of the program..  PYC Certificate to register with Yoga Alliance will not be given until the program is paid in full.

Note:  Books and Supplies are not included in the tuition fees of the program.

Questions/FAQs


Are there any prerequisites?

1 year experience in practicing yoga is required.

  • Yes, you need to submit $500 deposit, book report, completed application which includes Student Acknowledgement form, Contract Acceptance Agreement, a Questionnaire form, Medical Info form, and Enrollment Agreement.

 
What is the payment policy?
 All applications and remaining tuition balance are due before completion of the program.  Certificate will not be given until the program is paid in full.

Are there any scholarships offered?
No scholarships available at this time.

 

Do the teacher trainees get discounted classes?

Absolutely! All teacher trainee's get unlimited classes until they are done with their training and automatically get specialty discounted rates for class packages and series after they graduate.


Does the fee include books?
No it does not.

Is Pranava Yoga Center planning on doing additional teacher trainings in the future?
Yes, PYC will have another 200hr teacher training in the summer. Dates beyond 2011 are not yet confirmed but PYC is going to offer 500 Hour certification in the future.

 

I do not live in Colorado Springs. Is there housing or place to stay near PYC?
Yes, there are many options. PYC is centrally locationed. If you need more information, please contact us. We will be more than happy to provide you with some suggestions.
